Site Engineer – Water Project 📍 Location: East London 🏗️ Sector: Water / Civil Engineering 📅 Start Date: Immediate 💼 Employment Type: Contract or Permanent 💰 Rate/Salary: Competitive (DOE) About the Role: We’re looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major water infrastructure project in East London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated engineer with a strong background in heavy civils and water sector works to play a key role in the successful delivery of a high-profile scheme. You’ll be responsible for setting out, quality assurance, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and in line with design specifications. Immediate availability is essential. Key Responsibilities: * Setting out and surveying for pipelines, chambers, and associated civil structures. * Overseeing daily site activities to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications. * Managing quality assurance, ITPs, and site documentation. * Supporting the Site Manager and Project Engineer in coordinating subcontractors and site teams. * Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with health, safety, and environmental standards. * Liaising with design, commercial, and client teams to resolve technical queries. Requirements: * HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent). * Proven experience working on water, utilities, or heavy civils projects (clean or wastewater preferred). * Proficient in setting out using GPS and Total Station equipment. * Strong knowledge of site documentation, QA processes, and safety procedures. * CSCS card and SMSTS/SSSTS preferred. * Immediate availability required.
